Pennyhill Park launches new dedicated wedding event space

In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

Country house hotel, Pennyhill Park in Bagshot, Surrey, has launched a new dedicated wedding venue space for the summer season.

The newly renovated Parkview suite can accommodate up to 120 wedding guests and features a full bar.

Couples can also book the hotel’s private terrace wing in its entirety. The private terrace wing includes five refurbished rooms and suites for members of the wedding party to stay in on the wedding night or longer.

Additionally, drinks receptions can be hosted in the refurbished Water Lily suite, or on the Lily Pond Terrace overlooking the grounds.

According to Pennyhill Park, the newly renovated suites “complement” the hotel’s existing choice of wedding spaces, including The Library with its large wooden archway and “grand” stained-windows for intimate indoor ceremonies and receptions, or the garden Pavilion, a hand-built structure and tiered grass terrace set within the hotel’s grounds.

The hotel will also provide couples with a dedicated wedding team to create a bespoke package for all occasions.

The wedding party can also access the hotel’s 45,000 sq. ft spa and a choice of dining options including Michelin starred dining at Latymer with menus designed by head chef Steve Smith.

Sarah Boardman, group weddings manager at Exclusive Collection, said: “Our historic hotel and beautiful grounds have long provided an impressive backdrop for classical weddings with our gardens playing a leading role during the summer months.

“We’re delighted to now launch a beautiful new wing of the hotel for weddings to take over, so couples feel like they have their very own bit of Pennyhill Park for their big day. With a rise in the ‘wedding weekend’, many couples are also expanding their scope to multi-day experiences to host welcome parties, post wedding brunches and night before dinners. The hotel, spa and dining options at Pennyhill Park give couples so many options to create their very own bespoke wedding celebrations with the help of our experienced wedding events team.”
