Rosewood Hotel Group has announced that it has appointed Joerg Zobel as its new chief operating officer.

Zobel will head Rosewood Hotel Group’s global operations across the group’s four brands and will lead the group’s retail and e-commerce teams

These four brands include Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, New World Hotels and Resorts, Asaya, and Carlyle and Co.

In his most recent role, he served as the CEO and chairman of the board of Eschenbach Optik GmbH, one of Europe’s largest eyewear groups.

Prior to that, he served as general manager in the Asia Pacific region for Puma.

Zobel will be based out of Rosewood’s Hong Kong headquarters and will join the company on September 25 2023.

Rosewood currently has 46 hotels, resorts and private member clubs, across the globe including the UK, Europe, USA and Asia.
