In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

Red Carnation Hotels has announced that its 100 Princes Street Hotel in Edinburgh will launch on 1 November.

The new hotel will be situated near the Scottish National Gallery and will aim to offer a more “cosy townhouse feel” compared with a traditional hotel.

It has been designed by Toni Tollman, Philippe Bonino, and Brian Brennan, and carefully curated with furnishings and artwork from local artisans, including custom-made tartan by Araminta Campbell.

Other highlights will include a wine wall with over 200 fine wines and a wide selection of Scottish whiskeys.

As will all other Red Carnation hotels 100 Princes Street will provide customers with a 2:1 staff-to-guest ratio.

The hotel will be delivered by the same team behind Xigera Safari Lodge in Botswana and Ashford Castle in Ireland.
