Klarent Hospitality has announced the appointment of Joe Green as managing director of Transactions to lead the hotel investment and management company’s growth plan across the UK and Europe, following its recent acquisition of Edinburgh’s landmark hotel, The Caledonian.
Green joins Klarent Hospitality from CBRE where he worked for three years as head of UK Brokerage, advising current and prospective clients on the hotel selling and acquisition process.
Previously he was head of Transactions and Development at Amaris Hospitality, where he was responsible for building and managing a high-performing transactions team to oversee Lone Star’s sell-down of the Amaris Hotel portfolio.
He joins Klarent Hospitality to support the group through its “ambitious” growth plans to increase its footprint across the UK and Europe. Green will be responsible for seeking and finding new investment opportunities that will add “value-driving superior returns” for the owners.
Speaking of Green’s appointment, Klarent Hospitality CEO Peter Stack said: “The hotel market in the UK and Europe has shown promising signs of recovery in 2023. As a seasoned leader, Joe brings considerable skill and transactional experience which will be invaluable to grow our portfolio and secure our position as a leading hotel franchise partner.”
Green said: “I’m excited to be joining Klarent Hospitality to help grow the group’s already impressive portfolio and support its long-term growth strategy to deliver the best brands and experiences for consumers. Alongside the great talent in the business, I am incredibly optimistic about Klarent Hospitality’s future plans.”
