The Mexico Inn, a refurbished traditional Cornish coastal inn, has come to the market with a guide price of £765,000 through Colliers’ specialist hotels team.
The inn has been restored by its current owners, both of whom are local and have owned the property since January 2015.
During this time the pub has become not only a destination dining venue but a hub of the community. Alongside the thriving food and beverage business, two rental flats on the upper floor add diversity to the business’ income.
Situated in Long Rock, equidistant from Penzance and Marazion, the beach is a short walk away, with the village itself overlooking Mounts Bay and St Michaels Mount.
The inn is constructed of local stone with a pitched slate roof. Alongside the kitchen, bar, restaurant area and conservatory, there is an enclosed outdoor patio which can host up to 40 additional covers, suntrap beer garden, an additional prep kitchen and pizza oven.
In total the outdoor space can hold 100 people, with the current owners often using it to host live music performances and events.
Current owners Amy Parsons and Tom Symons said: “We have loved being the owners of The Mexico Inn. The last nine years have flown by, and we’ve received incredible support from the community. However, with four young children we now want to step back and take the time to focus on our family.
“The Inn has built up a fantastic reputation amongst locals and visitors alike for being a real hub of the community and we hope it will continue in this spirit in the future.”
Ed Jefferson, Colliers hotels team, added: “The Mexico Inn is everything you want from a traditional Cornish inn, and Amy and Tom have done a fantastic job of the renovations, making it not only a place to eat and drink, but also to stay. I have no doubt this characterful property will attract significant interest on the market.”
