Haselbury Mill, a historic venue dating back to William the Conqueror’s era, is up for sale. Premier Inn has opened a new 120-bedroom hotel in Torquay Harbour, constructed on an underused car park. Despite challenges like the Covid pandemic and contractor issues, the hotel is expected to attract tourists and contribute £3m annually to the local economy. This investment aligns with Torbay Council’s strategy to boost tourism, create jobs, and enhance the town’s appeal as a visitor destination.

Apex Hotels has acquired Meldrum House Country Hotel and Golf Course in Aberdeenshire, marking its second rural property and the 10th hotel in its UK portfolio. The 51-bedroom four-star hotel, set in 250 acres of countryside, is known for its historic charm and prestigious awards. The acquisition reflects Apex Hotels’ strategy to diversify its portfolio and expand into rural locations, supported by a strong financial performance and a recent refinancing package.
