The DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Airport, located just off the M56 motorway, has been brought to market for an undisclosed amount.
As it is linked to the UK’s third-largest airport, the branded hotel has been described as “highly” profitable due to being just 10 miles from Manchester city centre.
The hotel features 230 ensuite bedrooms, ranging from twin and family rooms to deluxe rooms and junior suites.
It also benefits from 11 function and meeting room facilities for corporate guests and private events, a Mason’s Bar and Restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a 24/7 fitness area for guests.
Outside, the DoubleTree-branded hotel has a 260-space car park and also offers a range of asset management opportunities, not least the possibility of developing additional bedrooms – though it is subject to necessary planning consents.
Jeremy Jones, head of brokerage at Christie and Co, who is handling the sale, said: “Hotels of the size and scale of the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Airport rarely come to the market. With 25 million passengers in 2023, Manchester Airport is truly the UK’s global gateway in the North with 49 airlines serving 196 destinations.
“The investment in the airport is huge with the £1.3bn transformation programme set to be completed next year. Manchester itself is a global investment target for many international buyers and so we anticipate strong levels of interest in this highly profitable hotel.”
