The Grand, York has announced the appointment of its new spa director, Emma Sorby, who brings with her a wealth of experience in the wellness industry.Sorby began her career in the wellness industry with the Royal Caribbean International Cruise Line. Over the course of seven years, she gained “invaluable experience” and became the youngest spa manager in the fleet at just 22 years old.
Once back in the UK, Sorby continued this career trajectory and joined Rudding Park Hotel and Spa, which is recognised as the Best Destination Spa in the UK by the Good Spa Guide.
Commenting on her new role, Sorby said: “My vision for the spa at The Grand, York is to become the most loved city spa in the North. I will look to empower a successful culture through our team to ensure five-star service, phenomenal team well-being and a spa our guests can call home.
“I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for The Spa at The Grand, and I can’t wait to bring our guests on this new exciting journey with us.”
