Dalata Hotel Group has announced that it has completed the sale of the Clayton Whites Hotel in Co. Wexford to Neville Hotels for €21m (£17.6m).
The hotel comprises 160 guestrooms and suites alongside a spa and dining options and it can also accommodate weddings and conferences.
Contracts for the deal were exchanged in November and all proceeds from the deal are being returned to shareholders through a series of share buybacks.
When the deal was announced, Dermot Crowley, chief executive of Dalata Hotel Group, said: “The Clayton Whites Hotel Wexford has been a significant part of Dalata’s journey, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the team there for all their hard work and commitment.
“The hotel has a strong management team in place and a proven track record of strong performance, providing me with confidence that it will continue to excel as part of Neville Hotels. Our focus now is to ensure a smooth and positive transition, providing support to our colleagues throughout this period of change.”
Dalata currently owns 55 hotels in Ireland, the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.
