Claridge’s has announced that the Italian Hotel Il Pellicano will come to Mayfair for a one-week residency at Claridge’s Restaurant from the 17 to the 22 February 2025.
Chef Michelino Gioia and his team will serve up his signature Tuscany’s dishes, alongside barman Federico Morosi, who’ll be mixing up some of his signature cocktails.
Dishes that will be served on the Claridge’s Restaurant menu will include Hotel Il Pellicano’s specialities, such as Maremma-style ravioli with butter and sage, risotto with shrimp, ginger and lime to start. For mains, Veal cheek, potato cream, chicory and Chianti sauce, Turbot with stuffed escarole and anchovy sauce, Poached organic egg, asparagus cream, smoked scamorza cheese and black truffle, and Tiramisu to finish.
For aperitivo, the bar menu will feature signature Italian cocktails including The Teller Negroni, an homage to the celebrated photographer Juergen Teller, the Pelican Martini and The Dana Patsy Spritzer, a tribute to the legacy of one of the hotel’s founders.
Marie Louise Sciò, CEO and creative director at Pellicano Hotels, said: “We can’t think of a more perfect place to welcome our dear friends and family from London than Claridge’s, our longstanding home in the capital.
“This residency feels particularly special, as both Claridge’s and Hotel Il Pellicano share a legacy of excellence and a passion for creating unforgettable, timeless experiences for our guests. It’s even more meaningful this year as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of Il Pellicano, marking six decades of cherished memories, exceptional hospitality, and lasting connections.”
Claridge’s general manager Paul Jackson added: “We are honoured to invite our friends at Hotel Il Pellicano to Claridge’s Restaurant this February. We know our guests can look forward to a tantalising gastronomic journey as we partner on this exciting menu takeover to really bring a taste of Italy to Mayfair.”
