The Igloo Hybrid Hostel, a budget accommodation in Nottingham, has been brought to market for £1.5m.
Situated in the heart of the city centre, just off Wheeler Gate and Market Square, the independent hostel combines hotel-style en-suite rooms with versatile shared and private accommodation, including Japanese-style sleep pods.
First established in 1994, in the northern quarter of the city, the Igloo Hybrid Hostel has expanded significantly, it now spans the ground, first, and second floors of No.4 – 6, featuring 23 units with a total capacity of 68 guests.
The hostel also boasts communal spaces that enhance the guest experience. The ground floor features a shared communal kitchen, dining, a lounge with seating and work areas, which opens onto an enclosed garden.
The Shed section features six boutique rooms, including four en-suite options. The property is in “excellent” condition, with planning consent to add two further en-suite bedrooms.
For the year ending 2024, the business reported a net turnover of £3.28m.
Over the last decade the running of the premises has been mostly operated with minimal owner involvement.
Josh Sullivan, from Colliers’ Hotels team said: “Nottingham’s vibrant mix of thriving industries, prestigious universities, and rich cultural scene ensures a steady influx of students, professionals, and visitors throughout the year.
“With its prime city-centre location and excellent reputation, the Igloo Hybrid Hostel presents a rare opportunity to acquire a well-established and highly adaptable business in one of the UK’s most dynamic cities.”
