The Marine Hotel in Ballycastle has announced that it has received planning permission for a major expansion project.
The hotel will be adding 16 additional bedrooms, 10 self-contained apartments on the former country club site, and a rooftop bar and terrace overlooking the sea.
Alongside this, the hotel is looking to diversify its offering to make the hotel more attractive to more types of guests.
Marine Hotel will be teaming up with CoaststeeringNI for a Stay and Splash package, as well as working with local outdoor sauna brand, Niche Coastal, to offer a “relaxing yet outdoorsy” experience to guests.
The hotel has also launched a new partnership with Another Place, The Machrie on Islay, Scotland.
Offering guests exclusive Stay and Play packages, golfers can visit both properties, making the most of the renowned golf courses close by.
The collaboration includes ferry transfers with Kintyre Express for a scenic journey between the two locations.
The Marine Hotel featured a traditional links course with scenic views of the Causeway Coast, while Another Place, The Machrie in Scotland offers a challenging course designed by Willie Park Jr.
As the hotel grows it is looking to expand its team by paying above the national living wage, offering free meals to staff, and providing generous perks including a £500 summer bonus.
Nestled on the seafront of Ballycastle, the hotel offers 51 bedrooms, a fully licensed bar and bistro, and versatile function rooms capable of hosting over 600 guests.
