Adagio has opened The Adagio Original London City East, marking the European aparthotel brand’s ninth property in the UK and the fourth in London.

Located right in the heart of London, only a five-minute walk from Aldgate East or Whitechapel tube stations, the Adagio Original London City East features 132 studios and apartments showcasing the new Adagio Original apartment concept, ‘The Smart House’.

With open-plan spaces, warm hues, and multifunctional furniture, each apartment aims to be the “modern sanctuary”.

The new aparthotel also features the inclusion of five ‘Coliving by Adagio’ suites. This concept has been specifically designed to accommodate groups, whether they are travelling for work, family trips, or holidays with friends.

Designed to feel like a real apartment, each co-living suite consists of four independent studios, each equipped with its own bathroom and toilet, arranged around shared spaces, a fully equipped open kitchen, and a shared living room.

Arthur Jaeger, chief development and Real Estate officer, said: “The opening of the Adagio Original London City East, right in the heart of London, marks a major milestone for Adagio. Firstly, because the United Kingdom is one of our priority areas for growth in the coming years.

“But above all, because this location perfectly embodies our vision of the city: energetic and full of promise, multicultural and inclusive, brimming with endless business opportunities and a thriving cultural scene. A perfect illustration of the mindset driving our new strategic plan, first.”
