The Oak Inn, a countryside pub and restaurant with rooms in Herefordshire, has been brought to market with a guide price of £900,000 for the freehold.

The Oak Inn is a traditional 17th Century pub with four luxury letting bedrooms, as well as multiple dining areas seating around 90, a “cosy” bar and outdoor seating.

The grounds include a spacious garden, patio area, and car park.

Located in the rural hamlet of Staplow, which is two miles from Ledbury, the site is ranked in the top five restaurants in Herefordshire on TripAdvisor. It is also ranked top in Ledbury and holds a Travellers’ Choice Award for guest satisfaction.

The property lies within reach of popular local attractions including Eastnor Castle, the Malvern Hills AONB, and the Three Counties Showground, with a significant housing development under construction nearby which will boost local demand even further.

The business is “growing, successful and profitable” and having been owned by the same proprietors since 2007 is now for sale as its current owners look to retire.

Peter Brunt, director in the Hotels Agency team at Colliers, who is handling the sale, said: “This is a standout opportunity to acquire a consistently successful pub with strong trading performance and reputation.

“The Oak Inn combines character, comfort and high customer ratings in a beautiful and accessible location.”
