Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort in Wiltshire has appointed two new senior managers as it looks to strengthen its guest experience.
Pippa Hartwell joins as spa and wellness manager, bringing more than 30 years’ experience from roles at Stoke Park, Chewton Glen, the Celtic Manor Resort and Bishopstrow Hotel and Spa.
She will lead on strategy and operations for the spa, including wellness programmes, treatments and Bowood’s membership offer.
Meanwhile, George Garrard has been appointed restaurant and bar manager for the Shelburne Restaurant and Bar.
He previously held senior food and beverage roles at De Vere Tortworth Court and Aztec Hotel and Spa, managing two AA Rosette restaurants. He will oversee daily operations and work with the wider hospitality team.
Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort is part of the 2,000-acre Bowood Estate, home to the Lansdowne family for more than 250 years.
The four AA Red Star hotel includes a spa, a PGA championship golf course and the two AA Rosette Shelburne Restaurant. Guests also receive complimentary access to Bowood House and Gardens.
The resort is preparing to mark the 50th anniversary of the public opening of Bowood House and Gardens in 2025.
Hartwell said: “There’s a real opportunity to build on the fantastic foundations already in place and develop a wellness offering that is both exceptional and inclusive.”
Garrard added: “I’m passionate about delivering memorable dining moments and am eager to further enhance our restaurant and bar offering.”
Matthew Voyle, general manager, concluded: “We’ve further strengthened our senior management team, bringing in fresh vision and experience.”
