Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch has announced four senior appointments to its leadership team ahead of its 2026 debut.
Mathilde Brallet has been appointed commercial director, Kane Savage joins as director of sales, Marie-Charlotte Gauter has been named director of operations, and Carly Gill has been appointed HR director.
With more than 17 years’ experience in the industry, and a graduate of the prestigious Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, Brallet joins from Conrad London St. James, where she delivered a “record-breaking performance” as commercial director. She began her career on Hilton’s graduate management programme in Paris and Glasgow which led to senior positions at Hilton Strasbourg and Hilton London Metropole.
Hilton said Savage brings over a decade of expertise in luxury hotels including senior commercial roles at Langham Hotels and Resorts. Known for “cultivating strong relationships across the travel, consortia and entertainment sectors”, he returns to Hilton having previously worked for Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts in the UK.
Meanwhile, Gauter brings over a decade of prestigious hospitality experience to her role as director of operations, joining general manager Guillaume Marly’s team for the third time in her career. She joined Hotel Café Royal in 2018 and was promoted to director of operations in spring 2025. Recipient of Acorn Award ‘30 Under 30’ in 2023, Marie-Charlotte also completed an internship at The Dinex Group in New York founded by chef Daniel Boulud, now chef partner for Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch.
Finally, joining as HR director, Gill brings over 15 years of hospitality leadership experience across both operations and human resources. She most recently served as cluster HR manager for various Hilton hotels in London and “drove award-winning people initiatives across multi-site teams”.
Gill continues to spearhead industry-first social impact programmes, apprenticeships and succession planning to nurture the next generation of hospitality talent.
Marly said: “Mathilde, Kane, Marie-Charlotte and Carly are outstanding leaders who bring their expertise, ambition and vision to Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch, one of the world’s most exciting new luxury hotels. I am delighted to welcome them all to the team as we prepare for this landmark opening.”
Hilton, in partnership with Reuben Brothers, is restoring the Grade I-listed Admiralty Arch to create a luxury hotel that combines “contemporary hospitality with the site’s historical significance”.
Commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria, Admiralty Arch stands at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, offering views of both the Palace and Trafalgar Square.
The hotel will feature 100 rooms, including 25 suites, along with 17,500 sq ft of private residences. Plans include a newly developed presidential suite overlooking both Buckingham Palace and Nelson’s Column.
Chefs Clare Smyth and Daniel Boulud have been appointed as culinary partners, each set to lead one of the hotel’s signature restaurants.
