Down Hall Hotel, Spa and Estate has reported a 75% increase in conference enquiry revenue between 2022 and 2024 and confirmed conference revenue rose 62% during the same period, with growth continuing into 2025.

Year-to-date figures for 2025 show a further 14% uplift in enquiries and a 7.5% rise in confirmed bookings. The hotel attributed the performance to a shift in corporate demand toward experiential and wellness-focused events.

Wellness-led event add-ons have increased 82% year-on-year. Corporate groups are frequently requesting activities such as yoga, breathwork and sound baths alongside traditional meeting requirements.

The estate has also seen growth in its dining sector. A street food concept created by executive chef Robert Pearce delivered a 75% year-on-year uplift. The hotel has since introduced an outdoor dining experience, The Woodland Table, located within its kitchen garden.

Management confirmed that the estate recently received EcoSmart Silver Accreditation. This allows delegates to measure and offset the carbon footprint of their events. Work is also progressing on a new landscaped venue, The Charles Gardens, which is scheduled to open in 2026.

Located within 110 acres, the property includes 12 event spaces, 98 bedrooms and facilities for padel and tennis. The estate works with external partners to provide team-building activities including archery and cocktail-making workshops.

General manager Linden Beattie said: “The growth we’re experiencing reflects a clear evolution in delegate behaviour. Teams want connection, creativity and meaningful experiences, not just a meeting room.

“Our investment in outdoor dining, wellbeing and innovative activity-led packages has played a major role in driving demand.”
