BHM to take on Northampton and Yorkshire hotels

In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

Branded Hotel Management (BHM) has signed a contract to take over the management of two branded hotels in Northampton and Yorkshire, safeguarding 35 jobs.

The 88-room Hampton by Hilton hotel in Corby (and Europe’s first Hampton by Hilton hotel in 2009), and the 85-room Park Inn by Radisson Doncaster Hotel are both part of the management agreement.

Andy Townsend, business development director at BHM, said: “We are delighted to be involved in these two hotel projects, which have had some instability over the past few years with the former tenant.

“Now with us working directly with the hotels’ owner, we are better placed to develop the hotels and their businesses to ensure that we increase their share of both leisure and corporate business. Our immediate aim has been to stabilise the management teams at both properties with the appointment of new general managers at each unit.”

The announcement of the latest additions to the group follows BHM being appointed as operators of the new 216-bedroom headquarter hotel as part of the development of the new convention centre on the waterfront at Liverpool’s Echo Arena.

The Pullman Liverpool will be operated by BHM under a franchise agreement from Accor, Hotel & Resorts and is scheduled to open in September next year.
