PoB Hotels appoints Kathryn Drysdale as seasonal ambassador

Drysdale will represent the brand throughout the season, with the campaign aiming to balance the historical architecture with modern hospitality standards

In this episode we speak to Daniel Kyriakides, a partner at law firm Reed Smith. We discuss why private members’ clubs are experiencing a resurgence and what that means for the future of the hotel sector. From heritage buildings being reimagined as lifestyle destinations to hotels borrowing the experiential playbook of members’ clubs, we discuss how the lines between the two are becoming increasingly blurred, and why global growth is on the horizon for the private members club model.

Pride of Britain Hotels has announced the appointment of Bridgerton actress Kathryn Drysdale as its new seasonal ambassador, following the launch of a campaign titled ‘Now and Then’ to highlight its heritage properties.

The initiative includes a series of ‘Meet the Makers’ events held at member hotels throughout the year. These sessions will feature British brands such as Gusbourne winery and Lock and Co Hatters to demonstrate traditional craftsmanship.

The campaign coincides with the release of the 2026 edition of The Handle, a coffee table book distributed across member properties and transport hubs. The publication features essays on architectural preservation and traditional culinary techniques.

Featured properties in the campaign include The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa in Bath, The Painswick in Gloucestershire, and Grantley Hall in Yorkshire. The Athenaeum Hotel and Residences in London and Middlethorpe Hall and Spa in York are also included in the curated selection.

Drysdale will represent the brand throughout the season, with the campaign aiming to balance the historical architecture of the 18th and 19th Century properties with modern hospitality standards.

Kalindi Juneja, chief executive of PoB Hotels, said: “Our 2026 ‘Now and Then’ edition of The Handle is both a celebration and an invitation. At PoB Hotels, heritage is not only preserved, but experienced through striking architecture, enduring traditions and timeless artisanship, all balanced with the elegance of modern hospitality. As we share these stories, we also reflect on our own journey.”

PoB Hotels was established in 1982 to provide a collective platform for independent luxury hotels. The group currently represents various Grade I and Grade II-listed landmarks across the UK.
