Jane Taylor, founder and owner of estate agent Taylor Underwood, who is handling the sale, said: “This is a gem in a delightful and timeless location. Broomhill offers a lifestyle. A country house with beautiful private accommodation. The property is a magnificent late Victorian former gentleman’s residence built in 1913.”

Additionally, the woodland gardens surrounding the hotel are a showcase for a collection of contemporary sculpture, and Broomhill has, for the last 10 years, hosted the annual National Sculpture Prize for emerging artists.

Taylor added: “The sculptures collection has become an integral part of the Broomhill experience, and can be included in the sale by negotiation. This is a particularly special hotel in a magical location that leaves visitors feeling revived and inspired, through its blend of nature and human creativity.

“The sale of Broomhill marks the start of another chapter for this wonderful property and offers new owners a chance to combine a country house lifestyle with a fabulous all-year-round destination business.”
