The Auldgirth Inn, Dumfries, is celebrating after maintaining its double AA Rosette Award for its dedication to dining, and for also retaining its 4-AA gold stars for hotel accommodation after a visit from the AA guide in April 2019.
The AA inspector praised the Auldgirth Inn’s team and has commented that the “thoughtfully designed bedrooms at an inn where the dining is a natural strength” helped secure its rating.
The inspector also complimented the chefs for their skills in the kitchen as “a collection of bold and ambitious dishes, all with good balance of flavour and clarity” were available at the inn.
Owner and head chef, Robert McAlesse is “delighted” with the results and said: “I am so proud of the team here at the Auldgirth Inn. It’s great that the talents of the team have been recognised and we’re so thankful for the AA’s kind comments and their generous awards.”
The Auldgirth Inn is a 21st Century coaching that offers six luxury furnished bedrooms.
