Whatley Manor, located in the Cotswolds, near Chippenham, Wiltshire, has appointed Andreas Rosendal as food and beverage manager.
Previously wine director of Flemings Mayfair Hotel and Down Hall Hotel in Essex, Rosendal joins executive chef Niall Keating and the team at the hotel, effective August 2019.
He has over 15 years of experience as a sommelier and wine buyer, including at The Westbury in Mayfair, Restaurant Sat Bains in Nottingham, and The Greenhouse in Mayfair, all of which hold Michelin stars.
Rosendal will be responsible for the hotel’s Michelin-starred The Dining Room, as well as Grey’s Brasserie, afternoon tea, room service, breakfast and the recently launched Green Room.
General manager Sue Williams said: “It’s a wonderful moment when such an experienced and professional gentleman agrees to join your team. Andreas brings with him a wealth of experience that spans 5-star hotels and very fine restaurants.
“His arrival gives us an opportunity to continue to raise the bar on all our service points – we are very excited about this next chapter for Whatley.”
