The Guardsman, the new purpose-built luxury boutique hotel on Buckingham Gate, has appointed Eva Mount as its opening general manager.
Shiva Hotels, owner of the Guardsman, said Mount will bring with her a “wealth of five-star boutique experience”, including GM roles at both The Athenaeum Hotel and Residences and The Arch London. She also spent 10 years with Firmdale Hotels, working at the brand’s Soho, Charlotte Street and Dorset Square properties.
Set to launch in early 2020, The Guardsman will feature 53 luxurious bedrooms, six exclusive residences on the upper floors and a restaurant for residents and their guests only.
Rishi Sachdev, managing director of Shiva Hotels, The Guardsman’s owner and operator, said, “We are absolutely delighted that Eva is joining our team. She has worked with some of London’s leading five-star boutique hotels and as such her experience will be invaluable. The fact she is joining us at this relatively early stage will ensure The Guardsman is operating effortlessly from the minute it opens its doors to the public.”
