Luxury Highland hotel, Ness Walk, has received an official five-star accreditation from Visit Scotland. The hotel, located in the centre of Inverness has been recognised for “outstanding quality of guest experience,'' as well the development of a luxury product. The new 47-bedroom hotel, owned by the Kingsmills Group, was originally a 19th Century house and opened in July following a £7m renovation. Along with luxury accommodation the restaurant also features a fine-dining restaurant, Torrish. The award was presented in a ceremony at the hotel by Visit Scotland chief executive Malcolm Roughead. Roughead said: “Congratulations to Ness Walk on this fantastic achievement. Ness Walk is the perfect example of the quality experience on offer to visitors to Inverness, and a great addition to the accommodation on offer in the city. “Our Quality Assurance scheme helps businesses to reach their full potential and truly shine. The scheme is about more than just the ‘stars’ on the door - it’s about the entire visitor experience, about investing in your business, driving-up quality and creating jobs.” He added: “Delivering a quality experience that meets, and exceeds, visitor expectations is crucial in making Scotland a must-visit, must-return destination.” CEO of Kingsmills Group, Tony Story said: “It is an absolute delight for Ness Walk to be awarded a five-star grading by Visit Scotland. As part of The Kingsmills Group’s ongoing commitment to providing high quality accommodation, dining and event space to the Highlands this is a step in the right direction for both the hotel and Inverness. “We have received amazing feedback from guests’ to Ness Walk and it is delightful to have Visit Scotland recognise all the work that has helped us get to this point.”
