Stock Exchange Hotel opens as member of Relais & Châteaux

The Stock Exchange Hotel in Manchester has officially opened as a member of the Relais and Châteaux brand.

The former Stock Exchange building has been meticulously transformed into a hotel offering a collection of 40 rooms and suites, including two signature suites and a 3,500 square foot penthouse residence.

Co-owned by Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and hotelier Winston Zahra, the boutique property opens as a member of global hotel and restaurant fellowship, Relais and Châteaux and is managed and operated by Manchester-based GG Hospitality.

Speaking about the association with Relais and Châteaux, co-owner and GG Hospitality CEO Winston Zahra said: “We are honoured to be the first ever Relais and Châteaux member in Manchester and one of the first properties in the 65 year history of the fellowship to become a member before its doors open.

“This is testament to all of the work the team has been doing behind the scenes. We have put a great amount of effort into ensuring the design for the property truly respects the history of the building.”

He added: “The values and foundations of Relais and Châteaux to protect and defend the local art of living are reflected in every detail of our offering and we are committed to preserving an important part of Manchester’s heritage, while offering quality service in an exceptional setting.”

Philippe Gombert, president of Relais and Châteaux said: “We are very happy to count Stock Exchange Hotel as a member of our family and to be able to accompany them in the opening of this beautiful house.

“Having visited the property I can tell you that Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and Winston Zahra have revived Stock Exchange and its history in a remarkable way. This is a perfect example of what Relais and Châteaux is: properties anchored in their region, ambassadors of their heritage, but also passionate about their craft and deeply committed to forging warm, lasting relationships with their guests.”
