Shiva Hotels has announced its Middle Eight hotel, a lifestyle luxury hotel located on Covent Garden’s Great Queen Street, is to open this May.
Offering 180 rooms, including 12 suites, and multiple food and beverage outlets, with interiors designed by London-based design practice Tonik Associates, and architects Ray Hole, are behind the hotel’s stylish interiors.
Motifs inspired by the elements will be present throughout the hotel including an undulating feature wall in the atrium.
Middle Eight’s founder Rishi Sachdev has appointed a dedicated purpose team to work with general manager, Christian Graf.
The hotel’s main restaurant, Sycamore Vino Cucina, will offer an all-day menu of Italian and Californian dishes as well as a night time DJ. Overlooking Sycamore, The Balcony will offer a an all-day, globally inspired menu in a more “tranquil setting”.
Downstairs, guests will find QT – a space for live performances and screenings – which will regularly host comedians, musicians and singers to perform on the central stage.
Sachdev said: “At Middle Eight we will choose to do things not because they are easy, nor because it’s what everybody does. We will choose to do them because they represent our collective vision of what’s right.
“We will inspire guests, teams, communities and partners to believe in and share our world view. We will challenge our competitors by disrupting the status quo and by offering our guests a genuinely new option: a conscious choice to experience luxury with purpose.”
