The Farncombe Estate has announced the temporary closure of its three properties, amid the latest announcements from the government.
Cotswold-based estates Dormy House, The Fish Hotel and Foxhill Manor have all temporarily closed until further notice.
The Farncombe Estate said although the decision was “difficult” it was “entirely necessary step to help in the international fight against Covid-19.” It said: “The safety and welfare of staff is the number one priority and the team is being fully supported during these tough times.”
CEO Andrew Grahame: “It’s with a very heavy heart that we make the decision to close our hotels and our Estate for the time being, as part of the shared effort to beat the threat of Covid-19.
“As a team, we’ll use the time to train, innovate, invent and raise Farncombe to an even higher level, and we look forward to celebrating our reopening with you once the threat has passed. Our business and culture was built on family spirit and that’s what we will continue to be throughout this time – a family.”
The company also announced that its reservation teams are working remotely to assist guests in rearranging their plans as necessary, and to take future bookings for when restrictions have lifted.
