The Clarendon Hotel in Blackheath has remained open during the Covid-19 pandemic to provide NHS staff with accommodation.
The hotel staying open has enabled NHS staff to do 650 shifts at hospitals during the pandemic.
The hotel has also also provided hot meals to staff at Cygnet Hospital, as well as The Clarendon’s staff are taking care of meals, cleaning and laundry.
General manager, Ken Milton, said: “We’re really pleased that the Clarendon can make a difference to our all-important key workers.
“It’s good to know that we can offer practical help and support – there’s always been a strong community in Blackheath and we’re grateful that we can play our part in pulling together when we all need it most.”
