A new 51-bedroom hotel called the Laslett is to be launched by Living Rooms, the operator of boutique hotel suites and serviced residences, next year.
Named after Rhaune Laslett – a local community activist and organiser of the original Notting Hill Festival – the Laslett will open across five Victorian mansions on Pembridge Gardens.
The hotel’s bottom floor will include a “neighbourhood hangout” featuring a coffee shop, bar-kitchen, gallery, and concept store with exhibitions and installations from local photographers and artists.
The hotel is being designed by architectural and interior designers Waldo Works, with a plan to create a style that mixes “hip and homely”, while celebrating the characterful and cultural heritage of Notting Hill.
The Laslett is expected to open in spring/summer of 2015.
