Charing Cross hotel, London, has officially relaunched this week under the new Amba brand owned by parent company GLH.
The 239-bedroom hotel represents the first property for Amba Hotel worldwide and will be the first of four properties in London.
The second hotel, a rebranding of the Thistle Marble Arch, will open next year, with the Grosvenor in Victoria and Tower Bridge hotels being rebranded in 2016. The brand is also looking out for opportunities for expansion in Asia, the USA and across Europe.
The Amba Charing Cross has undergone a refurbishment and now has a strong focus on technology with smart TVs, USB sockets, smart in-room apps and iPads in every room. The hotel also features artwork that reflects London’s iconic attractions.
The hotel has also included fast, free and unlimited WiFi after research from Amba Hotels found that this topped the list of factors that influenced their guest’s choice when choosing a hotel.
Belinda Atkins, CEO of the new Amba Hotels said; “Fast, free, unlimited WiFi is as important to our guests as any other facilities provided by the hotel – it’s actually as important as a good night’s sleep.
“Our WiFi has no caveats, no loyalty schemes no limit on up or down loading. It’s is the fastest, free, unlimited WiFi of any Meeting & Events hotel group.”
