GLH Hotels has announced that it is to open its second property under the Amba brand in the UK in November this year.
The hotel, located in Marble Arch, will be the group’s second hotel in the UK and London following the opening of its Charing Cross hotel in December last year.
The 692-bedroom Amba hotel Marble Arch will open following the rebrand and refurbishment of the Thistle Marble Arch. The hotel’s bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas were all refurbish and its staff members took part in a training programme designed to teach them multi-skills.
The hotel will also focus on technology, with rooms featuring free Wi-Fi, Samsung Smart Tvs, in-room mini-bars and Nespresso coffee machines.
Mike DeNoma, CEO of GLH, said the TripAdvisor success of the Amba Hotel Charing Cross – which was ranked fourth for London hotels by the online review site, six months after opening – demonstrates how the brand has “listened to customers in order to address the needs of international guests”.
He added: “Retaining our position as a digital innovation leader as we develop the Amba Hotel portfolio is a key promise to guests and owners alike.”
Following the launch of the property, Amba Hotels will be operating almost 1,000 bedrooms just over one year after launching the brand.
GLH, which also owns the Clermont, Every, Thistle and Thistle Express brands, said that Amba hotels is actively seeking to open in new city centre locations.
