In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. Apex Hotels has opened its first hotel in the Scottish city of Glasgow, following a £10.5m refurbishment of the property.

Apex City of Glasgow, a 104-bedroom four-star hotel, is situated on Bath Street and features  free WiFi and Sky and a lounge restaurant which the company said offers a flexible space for work and leisure.

The hotel, which Apex said has created 60 new jobs in the city, is the group’s ninth property in its portfolio, joining hotels in location including Edinburgh, Dundee and London.

Helen Gallagher, general manager, said: “The Glasgow market continues to boom following the success of last year’s summer of sport. It made perfect sense to us choose the city for our newest hotel.

“Its location means it is at the heart of the action both for the corporate and leisure markets and we expect to welcome many of the visitors who come to Glasgow because of its reputation for shopping, culture and music.”
