Hotel du Vin has announced the recently acquired Magdalen Chapter hotel in Exeter will be rebranded as the Hotel du Vin Exeter.

The hotel, which was acquired by Fraser Hospitality – the owner of the Hotel du Vin brand – in November 2015 alongside three other properties as part of a £36m deal, will take the number of Hotel du Vin hotels in the UK to 17.

The hotel will be refurbished to bring it in line with Hotel du Vin’s style, including “stylish and unique” touches and its focus on food, wine, whisky and spirits.

Nick Halliday, COO of Hotel du Vin, said: “We are delighted to announce that Exeter’s Magdalen Chapter is to become a Hotel du Vin. This stunning property and historic city is a perfect fit for our brand. We can’t wait to show guests how we do things – Hotel du Vin style.”
