Harbour Hotels is set to open a new 42-bedroom hotel in Bristol at the start of next month, the 13th property in its portfolio.
The group, which focuses on coastal locations in the south of England, acquired the two former bank buildings on Corn Street in October last year, which it will link together to create a 42-bedroom hotel with a restaurant and event spaces.
Suites in the hotel will feature roll-top baths and city views, while the property’s former basement bank vaults are being transformed into a ‘Harbour Spa’ that will open in spring 2017.
The property was designed by renowned architect William Bruce Gingell, which was inspired by the Sansovino’s 16th Century Library of St Mark in the Piazzetta in Venice.
