Hotel worker strikes silver

Sue West, food and beverage manager at the Best Western Gatwick Moat House, has landed the silver award at this year’s Beautiful South Awards for Excellence.

Commenting on her award win, Sue said: “I have been in the industry for over 17 years and this really is the pinnacle of my career so far. I really was just happy to be nominated, so to walk away with this honour is a fantastic testament to the years of hard work and dedication in such a busy and competitive industry. I am truly delighted and must say thank you to the team I work with for all their wonderful support over the years.”

Held at Denbies Wine Estate, the Beautiful South Awards recognise the dedication to customer services and standards in businesses and destinations across the tourism industry.

Managing director of Tourism South East Peter Colling remarked: “Congratulations to all winners. Our industry’s commitment to providing the best possible customer experience is outstanding. The current economic climate continues to present many challenges for the tourism industry – however, the standards achieved by our award winners this year show their determination to provide their visitors and guests with memorable and outstanding experiences.”
