Rockliffe Hall has revealed its plans to build a multi-functional parkland as part of its development.
Dubbed a “Wonderland of Curiosities”, the £750,000 investment will transform one and a half acres of land into an area called ‘Mischmasch’.
Inspired by Alice in Wonderland author Lewis Carroll, the parkland’s theme will pay homage to the writer who spent much of his time in the nearby village of Croft.
It will feature a glasshouse, a maze and an Alice in Wonderland Nature Trail. There will also be an Eco Adventure playground to entertain children and there are plans for the glasshouse to be used for functions.
Warwick Brindle, chairman of Rockliffe Hall Limited said: “This is a significant investment for Rockliffe Hall – we already offer so much for our guests but want to further enhance what’s available to our younger ones while also opening up opportunities to hold functions and events in a new setting.
“Mischmasch will offer children and parents a unique interactive experience whilst improving the facilities for all our guests whether enjoying a game of tennis, indoor activities in the pods, and events in the magnificent glasshouse.
“In addition, Rockliffe Hall is set in the most beautiful grounds and we want to take advantage of this by offering our guests more of an outdoor experience.”
‘Mischmasch’ is due to open at the end of summer 2017.
