HOSPA launches ‘Recovery Package’ to help hoteliers bounce back

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

HOSPA, the Hospitality Professionals Association, is launching a ‘Recovery Package’ next week, which is made up of actionable insights and advice for hoteliers to take advantage of and maximise their recovery.

Designed to help hoteliers, the package offers “short, sharp, insightful advice pieces that can be used to enhance and streamline operations to maximise and take advantage of the high levels of post-lockdown demand”.

Calling on a range of expertise, HOSPA has liaised with a series of hospitality specialists to create the videos, which can be viewed on the HOSPA website, and cover the following topics:

Revenue Management – including optimisation and customer retention
Technology – using new tech, such as metasearch to boost revenues
Marketing – offering top tips, as well as advice on digital strategy
Sustainability – detailing how hotels can recover in a ‘greener’ way

The advice has been imparted by a range of industry experts from some of hospitality’s leading supplier brands including Profitroom, IDeaS, Comaccel, Infor Hospitality, Sleeping Lion, Pic PR and Alliants.

The package will officially launch through a HOSPA Masterclass, which will share highlights of the Recovery Package via a webinar, to be hosted between 11am and 11.40am on Thursday 22 April.

The event will see Jane Pendlebury, CEO of HOSPA, joined by Ali Powell, CEO and founder of Comaccel to discuss the key insights.

Pendlebury said: “With hospitality poised to reopen, everyone working within our sector needs to be ready. The public are all eager to get away, having been cooped up for so long. With international travel a more complicated prospect, UK hotels are set for a real boom in trade.

“But, despite this, with hotels having suffered for so long, it’s essential they use this time to take absolute advantage – streamlining processes and making sure systems are in place to recover and recuperate as swiftly as possible.”

She added: “The Recovery Package is designed to assist in that, providing key advice for hoteliers on what they can do to hit the ground running. The Masterclass on the 22 will look at some of the details contained within the package and offer an introduction for hoteliers. We do hope you can join us.”
