Aimbridge expands its EMEA team with international appointments

It has appointed Armin Eberhard as its vice president operations for the CIS Region

Third-party hotel management company, Aimbridge EMEA – formerly known as Interstate Hotels and Resorts, has expanded its team with a trio of appointments across the UK, Europe and the CIS.

The new hires have joined Aimbridge in both development and operational roles, which it said “cements the company’s commitment to driving future growth across international territories”.

It has appointed Armin Eberhard as its vice president operations for the CIS Region. Eberhard, who has “extensive experience” in senior general management roles across four countries, will manage hotels in Astana, Minsk and Yerevan, as well as pipeline properties in Georgia.

Meanwhile, Florian Cossin, who joins Aimbridge EMEA from IHG, has been named director of Feasibility and Planning, Europe, and is tasked with overseeing the underwriting of new hotel opportunities across the continent.

Finally, Grant Black has been appointed as development analyst for the UK and Ireland, supervising feasibility reviews for the region. Aimbridge added Grant brings with him a “broad range of experience” within the hotel sector, across IHG and Marriott, most recently in revenue management.

The appointment announcements come just weeks after Interstate Hotels and Resorts debuted its new Aimbridge EMEA brand at the Annual Hotel Conference in Manchester, UK, having operated as Aimbridge Hospitality’s international division since 2019.

David Anderson, divisional president – Aimbridge EMEA, said: “Attracting and investing in the best talent is critical to achieving our ambitious growth plans across EMEA.

“With these three new appointments we have further strengthened our robust development and operational teams, putting us in the very best position as part of the global Aimbridge family to capitalise on market opportunities, securing growth while demonstrating our wealth and expertise to benefit both new and existing owners.”
