Lake District’s The Belsfield signs with Aimbridge EMEA

The Belsfield is the latest appointment for Aimbridge EMEA, which recently secured the contract to operate the Hilton London T5 hotel at Heathrow Airport

Aimbridge EMEA has revealed it has been selected to operate The Belsfield – a hotel located in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere in the Lake District.

The EMEA division of Aimbridge Hospitality, formerly known as Interstate Hotels and Resorts, has been appointed by the owners to manage the independent, four-star property.

The Belsfield occupies a prime position on the banks of Lake Windermere and is surrounded by six acres of landscaped gardens. The hotel boasts views across the lakes, the mountains and the moors.

Aimbridge said that each year, Bowness-on-Windermere attracts over 16 million visitors and includes 62 bedrooms and suites and five conference suites which can accommodate up to 120 guests.

David Anderson, Aimbridge EMEA’s divisional president, said: “We’re very proud and excited to welcome The Belsfield into the Aimbridge family. This elegant hotel has joined the portfolio at a time of evolution for our business, when we’re ideally positioned to showcase our expertise for delivering the highest operating standards across both branded and independent properties.”

The Belsfield also includes a restaurant and brasserie with menus featuring dishes made using locally sourced ingredients.

The Belsfield is the latest appointment for Aimbridge EMEA, which recently secured the contract to operate the Hilton London T5 hotel at Heathrow Airport – a four-star, 350 bed hotel on a 12.5-acre site, with facilities including five food and beverage outlets and 17 flexible meeting room spaces.

Anderson added: “The Belsfield boasts one of the best locations in the Lake District with the most stunning views, and our talented team are dedicated to delivering an unparalleled level of service for owners, employees and guests. We look forward to developing this partnership, and to welcoming more best in class hotels into the growing Aimbridge EMEA portfolio.”

The Aimbridge Hospitality portfolio, inclusive of managed and pipeline properties, now stands at 1,500 hotels globally. Interstate Hotels & Resorts, which merged with Aimbridge Hospitality in 2019, moved under the Aimbridge corporate identity in October.
