Mallory Court provides 43 bedrooms in its Lutyens-style manor house, which is set in 10 acres of gardens.

It has been awarded four Red Stars from the AA and offers fine dining at the 3AA Rosette restaurant The Dining Room and its Orchard House Café.

It also features the Elan Spa, which opened in 2017 following a £6m investment project.

Originally from Sweden, Blomqvist has lived in Leamington Spa with her partner for almost two decades and said she is “relishing the opportunity to return to a place which holds so many special memories”.

She said: “I’m thrilled to be back at Mallory Court. Mallory Court is a hugely well-known and respected country house hotel and there’s been tremendous work since I was last here, not least with the launch of Elan Spa which is a popular draw not only for the hotel but also the town and wider region.

“I am really keen to continue to build on Mallory’s excellent reputation and I am also excited to develop the food offering, encouraging local residents to come and try us. Additionally, I am looking at ways to engage more with the local community as well as furthering the good work on our sustainability practices.”

Mark Chambers, group managing director, said: “Mallory Court is the jewel in Leamington’s crown and we are thrilled to have someone of Josefine’s experience and enthusiasm to build on its high standards and reputation.

“We are truly committed to providing pathways to progression at The Eden Hotel Collection and Josefine is a terrific example of someone who has grasped those opportunities with both hands.”
