Strand Palace, under L+R Hotels, has announced the appointment of Nicole Williams as cluster director of Sales.

L+R said Williams is a dedicated and results driven director of Sales with a track record in implementing successful sales strategies that deliver increased performance for London hotels, with a firm focus on customer service.

Williams’ background in hospitality spans both independent hotel groups as well as global hotel chains with regional, national and on-property sales experience. The firm said her focus for her new role, based at Strand Palace, is to drive revenue and develop new business alongside new experiences for Strand Palace’s key markets, both UK and international.

Williams has previously worked as director of Sales at Edwardian Hotels London for over eight years – one of the UKs largest privately owned hotel groups. During her time there, she worked across The Londoner, The May Fair and The Edwardian Manchester as well as the 11 Radisson Blu Edwardian London Brand under the Edwardian Hotels London umbrella.

She carried out various roles during those eight years, focusing on growing corporate business and meetings & events, as well as opening The Londoner Hotel during her tenure.

Prior to Edwardian, Williams spent over eight years working with Marriott International as director of Sales for London Marriott County Hall Hotel – a five-star central London property. Williams achieved a Sales Excellence Award after the hotel achieved the highest revpAR in any Marriott in the UK, also part of winning Marriott European One Team.

Williams said: “I am thrilled to be a part of the Strand Palace team and excited to work closely with the strong commercial team to drive sales forward and be a part of Strand Palace’s future.”

The Strand Palace has been welcoming guests since 1909 and features 788 bedrooms.
