Aprirose expands hotel team with two appointments

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Aprirose, the real estate investment company, has expanded its hotel team with the appointments of Kym Kapadia as chief commercial officer and Bastien Anouil as asset manager.

The new appointments follow a growth period for Aprirose hotels since the acquisition of the QHotel portfolio for £525m in 2017. Aprirose now has 32 hotels in its real estate portfolio.

Kapadia joins Aprirose from Michels & Taylor where she was a founding partner and board member for 11 years. Her experience spans a wide variety of senior positions across the UK and international hotel industry. She has worked for several major hotel companies and independent organisations throughout her 30-year career including, IHG, Marriott, Hilton, Le Méridien and Whitbread (Premier Inn).

Anouil joins Aprirose from Columbus Hotel Monte Carlo, where he was GM, having worked at the company for almost eight years. Anouil began his career at Starwood Hotels and Resorts World Wide at Le Méridien, Nice. He has also worked as a lecturer of Hotel Finance at the Université Nice Sophia Antipolis and as an adjunct professor at the International University of Monaco.

Manish Gudka, CEO, Aprirose, said: “Our hotel business continues to go from strength to strength making it the perfect time to develop our offer further. We’re continually looking for dynamic and experienced candidates to join our entrepreneurial and best-in class-team and believe that both Kym and Bastien will be great additions as we aim to capitalise on the momentum we have achieved since the acquisition of the QHotels portfolio.”

Tim Shearman, CEO Hotels, Aprirose, added: “Kym and Bastien have a wide-range of experience and strong relationships across the hotel market in the UK and internationally. I look forward to welcoming them to Aprirose as we continue to evolve the business and develop a market leading team in this thriving sector.”
