The Tudor Hotel in Airdrie, Scotland, has been sold to Crowwood Hotels Ltd off an asking price of £2.75m
The Tudor Hotel has been family-owned and operated for over 30 years and is a traditional community business.
It features nineteen letting rooms and a “first-class” food and drink offering, and hosts many events, weddings and functions.
The Tudor Hotel has been sold on behalf of the current owners due to retirement.
Its new owner, Crowwood Hotels, is well-established in the hospitality sector and already operates the Crowwood Hotel and Mondo Bar and Restaurant. The new owners plan to introduce a new Indian cuisine menu, and in time, refurbish the hotel.
Brian Sheldon, regional director at Christie and Co who managed the sale, said: “We were delighted to have acted for the family behind the Tudor, who have been involved in the trade for nearly 50 years, 30 of which being at the hotel. We wish Crowwood Hotels Ltd all the best with their plans for the hotel moving forward.”
