Hotel Indigo Exeter has been sold to CDL Hospitality Trusts for £19.4m.
The hotel offers 104 luxury, en suite bedrooms, three food and beverage outlets – including a rooftop bar with views across the city – as well as a gym and an exercise studio.
Located in the heart of Exeter, the freehold property is in close proximity to the high street and Princesshay Shopping Centre, the city’s premier shopping destination.
CDL’s acquisition also incorporates two retail units in “prominent” positions on Exeter’s High Street, which have been let to Mountain Warehouse and Holland & Barrett.
James Greenslade, director in the hotel capital markets team at Savills, said: “The sale of Hotel Indigo Exeter provides the purchaser with an exceptional and newly developed, boutique hotel along with two retail units in a prime location within Exeter.
“Given its stunning location and strong market fundamentals we understandably received a high level of interest for the hotel and are delighted to find a new owner who will continue its legacy.”
