Miiro has appointed Nicola James as general manager of its Templeton Garden property ahead of tis April opening.
With nearly two decade’s experience in the London hotel landscape, and almost 26-years’ experience in the hospitality industry, James brings with her an in-depth understanding and a glowing track record for cultivating distinctive guest experiences and delivering world class service.
In her role at Templeton Garden, James is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel opening in April 2025, from “envisioning and bringing to life a memorable and brilliantly considered guest experience”, to curating the hotel’s F&B spaces.
On being appointed GM, James said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Miiro team at a time of expansion for the brand, what we have at Templeton Garden is an incredibly unique space in London. I am honoured to be here from the very beginning, to be building a passionate team and to be playing a part in shaping the property’s future.”
She joins Templeton Garden from her most recent position as general manager at Holmes Hotel, located in the heart of Marylebone in the coveted Chiltern Street. This position was preceded by her role as deputy general manager at Charlotte Street Hotel in Fitzrovia and Covent Garden Hotel.
The 156-room property is situated in Earl’s Court, once a rural neighbourhood home to writers Beatrix Potter and Agatha Christie, which has now evolved into one of the capital’s most well-connected hubs.
Templeton Garden will be home to a café-meets-deli, a modern British restaurant, cocktail bar, a state-of-the-art gym, in addition to a Refresh Room, a Miiro signature feature. Upholding the area’s leafy heritage, the beautiful garden forms the green heart of the hotel, a peaceful oasis where contemporary design meets English elegance.
