Five-star Great Scotland Yard Hotel, in Westminster, has announced the appointments of Monika Mulder as director of sales and marketing and Mikco Maiquez as marketing and communications manager.
Both new hires are “seasoned” hospitality professionals who bring their wealth of experience and knowledge to the Unbound Collection by Hyatt hotel.
A director with 20 years of experience in the luxury hotel industry, Mulder began her career in the front office at Swissotel Chicago, and over the years, transitioned from reservations and revenue to sales and marketing.
She also worked at Starwood Hotels and Resorts, where she held key roles at multiple London properties.
In addition, Mulder held earlier roles as director of sales and marketing at The Westbury Mayfair, Luxury Collection and Sheraton Hotels.
Mulder said: “I’m delighted to be joining the team at the Great Scotland Yard Hotel and contributing to its continued success. Combining my leadership style and luxury hospitality expertise, I look forward to building a passionate and motivated team to create memorable experiences for our guests.”
Meanwhile, Maiquez brings 13 years of experience across the hospitality, travel and tourism, fashion and gaming sectors, having begun his marketing career at the F1 Hotel Manilla before joining Hotel Jen Manila by Shangri-La.
During the course of his MBA in the UK, he took on roles at Christian Dior Couture and Giorgio Armani, before joining Hyatt Hotels as marketing manager for the Hyatt Regency and Hyatt House London Stratford in 2023.
