Quarry Walk Park, a 43-acre lodge and log cabin holiday park near Alton, Staffordshire, has been put up for sale with a guide price of £6m.

The site includes 65 lodges, log cabins and glamping pods, and operates year-round.

Planning permission is in place for a further 12 lodges, and infrastructure including hardstanding, roads and services has already been installed for the expansion.

Dating back to the 1900s, the park was originally a sand and gravel quarry, before it was purchased and developed into a caravan and camping site in 2003.

Quarry Walk Park’s owners have invested in the park over the years and transformed it into a “luxurious” lodge and log cabin site, expanding and refurbishing the whole premises.

The park sits in private woodland just over four miles from Alton Towers theme park. Other nearby attractions include Churnet Valley Railway, Uttoxeter Racecourse and Peak Wildlife Park.

During the 22 years under its current owners, Quarry Walk Park has won several awards, including the Visit Staffordshire ‘Holiday Park of the Year’ Gold Award in 2023 and 2025, and the Midlands Family Business Awards.

Gabriela Williams, business agent at Christie and Co, who is managing the sale, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for a buyer to take on a very successful up-and-running holiday lodge site, in a superb location with lots of nearby attractions, such as Alton Towers.

“There is scope to grow the site and adapt it to suit the new owner’s personal specifications. The market for holiday sites is continuing to grow and we are experiencing strong demand for sites like Quarry Walk Park.”
