Great Scotland Yard Hotel, Westminster has announced the appointment of Saba Ewunie as its new director of finance.

Ewunie has a distinguished background in hospitality finance and a track record of delivering strong financial leadership. She joins from her role as finance manager at Hyatt Regency London Stratford, where her career with Hyatt began in 2023.

Known for her strategic vision and hands-on leadership, Ewunie will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategy, supporting the broader growth objectives of the hotel and the Hyatt brand.

Her appointment reflects the hotel’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence and financial stewardship.

Ewunie said: “I’m excited to be joining the team at Great Scotland Yard Hotel, a property rich in history and renowned for its seamless five-star hospitality. It’s a home to travellers who seek luxury and I look forward to being part of its continued success. This new chapter presents both opportunities and challenges and I’m eager to contribute meaningfully to the future of this iconic property.”

Great Scotland Yard Hotel is part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt and offers 151 rooms and is situated in an iconic 1820’s Grade II listed building.

The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is a compilation of independent, “one-of-a-kind hotels”, with each property providing “thought-provoking environments and experiences”.
