Construction company Watkin Jones has agreed a development partnership with Latium Enterprises to deliver a 294-unit hotel in the centre of Wimbledon, marking the group’s second project with the privately owned property company.
The scheme will redevelop a former brownfield site on Worple Road and will comprise an 11-storey hotel providing guest accommodation alongside shared amenities, including a lounge, gym, co-working space and café.
The project is due to be completed in summer 2028, with Watkin Jones targeting BREEAM Excellent certification for the development.
The partnership follows a previous joint scheme between Watkin Jones and Latium Enterprises at New Kent Road in London, which was announced in January 2025.
Alex Pease, chief executive of Watkin Jones, said: “We are delighted to announce this scheme, our second with Latium Enterprises in the year, to deliver exceptional accommodation alongside well-conceived living spaces and amenities for residents.
“This development partnership continues to showcase our market-leading capability in delivering high quality accommodation projects. It also demonstrates our ability to collaborate with partners where we can leverage our skills, experience agile approach, whilst delivering against our strategy to diversify our revenue streams and continue to build a resilient business.
