Valamar Hotels and Resorts is preparing for increased demand from UK travellers in 2026 with the opening of its flagship Pical Resort in Poreč.

The Croatian hospitality group is also undertaking a series of strategic renovations across its hotel and camping portfolios to bolster year-round appeal.

The launch of Pical Resort in March 2026 represents the largest investment to date for the company. Located in Parenzana Beachfront Park, the resort includes a congress centre designed to attract business travel and event bookings outside peak season.

The group will also expand its premium dining options through partnerships with Michelin-starred chefs at the Jadran Heritage Hotel and other sites.

Approximately 80% of ingredients used across the resort’s 11 restaurants are sourced from local fisheries, farms, and artisanal producers in Istria.

Renovations for the 2026 season include 334 updated rooms at Sunny Poreč and new premium pitches at campsites including Lanterna and Krk.

Upgrades to the Valamar Meteor Hotel wellness area and lifestyle enhancements at Places Dalmacija are also scheduled to be completed by next year.

A Valamar spokesperson said: “Valamar’s soon-to-open Pical Resort and a slate of renovations across its portfolio set the tone for a year of growth, choice and unforgettable Adriatic holidays.”
